Welcome to Shady Grove United Methodist Church in the heart of the Jonathan Valley!

This is our new site and will be freshened up in the coming months.

We worship in-person and simultaneously livestream our services (Virtual Church!) every Sunday at 11am! We would love for you to join us in-person or for Virtual Church! and check out all that a loving Christian community has to offer.

You can access our livestreams on our Facebook page.  We currently only gather in person when our local COVID-19 infection rates are low enough to allow for safe gathering. We post updates on our Facebook page, so check it out for all the details!

Shady Grove United Methodist Church is a warm, friendly church in Haywood County, North Carolina.

We are the only United Methodist Church in Jonathan Valley that serves a wide variety of folks.  From farmers and teachers who grew up within the vicinity of the church to persons who have moved from all over the country to live in this community. We love to have visitors from the nearby campgrounds join us for worship, as well!
